Since the Imperial Pond was closed for maintenance, I went there for the first time in about 7 years. It was a weekday afternoon, so I didn't have high expectations.

As expected, it was mostly old people.

They were bringing in food and drinks, chatting, and drying their underwear and T-shirts, which was unsanitary.

As you wrote, the water is hot, so you can't stay in for more than 2 minutes. The chairs were so yellowed that I didn't dare to sit down to take a break.

For 250 RMB, it is more hygienic to go to a Japanese spa and take a variety of baths.

The water is hot, but the bath is spacious, so it becomes lukewarm at the edges. The washing area is also outdoors, so it is cold at first, but it warms you up as you enter the bath. The misting area is small, but it is very hot and steamy. I had a massage here, and it was very good, and I was able to get it with just a towel, which gave me a great sense of freedom. Even though I was dripping from the towel, the massage therapist didn't care, he just pushed me and I was relieved of my tiredness.
There was a man who was closely touching me in the hot spring with very strong water pressure, but I didn't feel like I could eroticize. Well, it is natural.
It is also connected to the Imperial Pond by a bridge. You may want to try a hot spring ladder.
